On Thursday night the men's basketball team played host the undefeated Hilltoppers of West Liberty University. The Griffins costly turnovers in the beginning of the second half gave the Hilltoppers momentum leading to a 81-72 victory over Seton Hill.
In first half action play between both teams were even. Halfway through at the 11:16 mark the game was tied for the third time 16-16. During the second part of the half Seton Hill began to gain an edge over the Hilltoppers and continued to pressure and extend their lead slowly. With 3:30 remaining on the clock the Griffins had worked their way to a 10-point advantage over West Liberty leading 45-35. A dunk by

Nate Perry sent the Griffins into halftime leading 48-35.
The Hilltoppers came out determined in the second half to not let their perfect season slip away. West Liberty's intense press combined with their lock down defense resulted in the Griffins 12 point advantage turning into an 8-point deficit after six minutes of play. The Griffins chipped away at the Hilltoppers lead and managed to bring the game within three points 71-68 with 6:20 remaining in the contest. However, West Liberty answered back with a 6-0 run extending their lead to 77-68. The Hilltoppers held strong defeating Seton Hill 81-72
Max Kenyi who recorded 18 points led the Griffins offense.
Nate Perry added 17 points and
Malachi Leonard chipped in 12 point. With the loss Seton Hill now stands at 6-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play. The Griffins travel to Bluefield State on Saturday for their next game at 4:00PM.
