Box Score On Saturday afternoon the Griffins matched up against the Hilltoppers of West Liberty University at home in their first WVIAC conference game.  Seton Hill dominated the Hilltoppers and defeated them 2-1.
 
In first half action West Liberty got on the board first. The Hilltoppers crossed a ball and a Seton Hill defender knocked the ball in to give West Liberty a 1-0 lead just five minutes into play. For the duration of the first half the Griffins had the ball in the Hilltoppers territory. The Griffins also got lucky and scored off a cross knocked in by a Hilltopper defender to tie the game 1-1 at the 42:52.
 
During the second half Seton Hill continued to dominate play. However, the Griffins were having trouble finding the back of the net. The Griffins out shot the Hilltoppers 16-3 and had 9 corner kick opportunities in the second half. Finally the Griffins hard work paid off as Katelyn Wiater scored off a pass from Jessica Adams at the 79:46 mark to take the 2-1 advantage and secure the win for Seton Hill.  In the net Lauren Peretich recorded 2 saves for the Griffins.
 
With the win the Griffins recorded advances to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in WVIAC conference play. The Griffins will travel to Alderson Broaddus on September 11, for their next game at 7:00PM.
