Griffins Clinch First Victory of the Season

Box Score The Seton Hill women's soccer team faced the Storm of Lake Erie College at home on Thursday afternoon. The teams entered the contest looking for a win both having identical 0-2 overall records. The Griffins were able to pull out the first victory of the season defeating the Storm 1-0.
 
The Griffins played the Storm evenly throughout the first half. Seton Hill was able to capitalize on a cross from Heather Apodaca to Andrea Wisniewski to take a 1-0 lead and scored the Griffins first goal of the season at the 30:10 mark.  The Storm was unable to answer back and entered halftime trailing the Griffins 1-0.
 
During second half action Seton Hill dominated control of the game out shouting the Storm 8-2. However, neither team found the back of the net giving the Griffins the 1-0 victory.  Lauren Peretich recorded 4 saves in net for her first college shutout. 

With the win Seton Hill's overall record stands at 1-2. The Griffins match up next against West Liberty in their first conference game of the season at home on Saturday, September 8th at 12:00PM.
