Griffins Fall at the Rock, 6-1

Box Score The Griffins men's soccer team took the short trip to Slippery Rock, PA to battle the Rock on Wednesday afternoon.  Slippery Rock scored the first five goals of the game and cruised to a 6-1 victory.  With the loss, the Griffins fall to 0-3 on the season.

The Rock got on the scoreboard early in the contest, just 6 minutes in, to take a 1-0 lead.  The Griffins almost tied the score at one right at the end of the first half when Kevin Behar hit the post in the 44th minute.  Slippery Rock took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

SRU extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal three minutes into the second half.  Slippery Rock then made it 3-0 in the 59th minute of the contest.  SRU added two more goals and led 5-0 with under 15 minutes to play in the half.  Joe Tchimou got the Griffins on the board at the 78:08 mark of the second half.  Tchimou's shot hit the cross bar and went into the net.  The Rock added a goal with 4 minutes left in the contest to push the margin back to five. 

Jordan Sodhi made 4 saves in his 63 minutes of action, allowing 3 goals.  Joe Tchimou led the Griffins with 6 shots including 4 on goal.

Seton Hill will look for its first win of the season when they travel to Millersville on Saturday.
