Box Score 2 The Griffins volleyball team split its pair of WVIAC games this weekend, falling in five sets at Alderson Broaddus on Friday before rallying for a 3-0 win at Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon. Seton Hill is now 7-8 overall and 2-1 in WVIAC play.
Seton Hill jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on Friday at AB, winning the first two sets by scores of 25-13 and 27-25. AB then rallied for three straight wins to close out the match. AB took set three, 25-20, set four, 25-19 and won the final set by a 15-4 score. SHU took all three sets from D&E on Saturday. They took the first set, 26-24 and then cruised to a 25-9 win in set two. The Griffins closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the third set.
Shelby Kyllo led the Griffins with 10 kills against AB.
Corrine Gahagen added 7 kills.
Kelsey Profio ran the offense with 17 assists.
Lauren Teed had a team high 10 digs.
Katie Bloomgren added 8. Kyllo led the squad with 8 blocks.
Seton Hill will leave WVIAC play to battle PSAC foe Shippensburg on Monday evening at home.
