Box Score The men's soccer team competed against Gannon University on Tuesday afternoon. Seton Hill fought hard but was unable to put one past the Golden Knights keeper and suffered a 1-0 loss.
During first half action play between the Griffins and the Golden Knights were even. Both teams played with control and composure, which led to a 0-0 halftime score.
In the second half the Golden Knights caught a break when a Seton Hill defender turned the ball over to Sean Washek who passed it to Robbie Bennett for a Gannon goal and the 1-0 lead at the 47:36 mark. The Griffins battled hard and earned eight shots as well as three corner kicks but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities leading to the 1-0 defeat.
Jordan Sodhi recorded 6 saves in the net for the Griffins. With the loss Seton Hill now stands at 1-8 overall. The Griffins will resume play on the road at East Stroudsburg on September 30, at 1:00PM.
