Box Score 2 The Griffins traveled to Indiana, PA for the second day of the PSAC/WVIAC Crossovers on Saturday. Seton Hill opened the day with a 3-0 loss to Mercyhurst before falling in 5 sets to the host IUP in the nightcap. With the losses, Seton Hill falls to 4-7 overall and are the losers of six straight.
Seton Hill dropped the first set to Mercyhurst by the score of 25-20. Mercyhurst closed out the match with wins of 25-22 and 25-21.
Indiana also took the first set from the Griffins, 25-21. SHU responded with a 25-23 win in the second set. IUP took a 2-1 lead with a 25-23 win before the Griffins knotted the score at 2 with a 25-17 win in the fourth set. IUP jumped out to leads of 4-0 and 7-1 in the fifth set but the Griffins battled back to within one point at 14-13 before falling 15-13.
Corrine Gahagen led the Griffins with 15 kills. She also added 5 blocks and 4 aces.
Shelby Kyllo added 11 kills and a match high 12 blocks.
Christina Donahoe had 8 kills.
Kelsey Profio ran the SHU offense with 35 assists.
Lauren Teed led SHU with 20 digs.
Alexis Cerminara had 19 and
Katie Bloomgren added 16. Bloomgren also added 5 aces.
Seton Hill will look to end their losing streak on Tuesday night in their home opener as they battle Clarion
