The knights continued to control action throughout the first half and managed to extend their lead to 19 points making it a 31-12 contest at the 8:59 mark. The Griffins then gained some momentum going on a 9 point run closing in on the Knights 21-31 with 4:20 remaining in the first half. Gannon answered back advancing their lead back to 19 before the buzzer blew sending the Griffins into halftime trailing 42-23.

During the second half play was fairly even between the Griffins and the Knights. Gannon managed to score 38 points and Seton Hill managed to put 32 points on the board. However, the Griffins dug themselves to deep a hole in the first half and could not make up the point differential leading to the 80-55 defeat.
