Griffins Winning Streak Comes to an End

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 On Saturday afternoon the Griffins traveled to Lock Haven University to play two games. Seton Hill matched up against Cheyney University of Pennsylvania at 1:00PM and Lock Haven at 3:00PM.
 
In their first match Seton Hill came out strong and Swept Cheyney 3-0. In sets one and two the Griffins dominated play defeating Cheyney 25-7 and 25-3. Set three was the closest but the Griffins pulled through with the 25-19 win. With the victory the Griffins extended their winning streak to eight in a row. Chelsey Regovich led the offense with 8 kills and 8 aces and Samantha Wechter added 5 kills and 5 aces. Courtney Field earned 18 assists, Kelsey Profio added 14 assists, and Rachel Dindak had 5 digs on defense.
 
However, the Griffins streak came to an end as they lost their second match of the day to Lock Haven 3-1. In set one Seton Hill lost 25-17. The Griffins retaliated in set two as they defeated the Eagles 25-19 to tie the match up 1-1. Seton Hill could not finish off the Eagles as they fell in set three 18-25 and set four 24-26 to pick up the 3-1 road loss. In the match Shelby Kyllo recorded 10 kills and 11 blocks while Corrine Gahagen added 9 kills and 5 blocks. Courtney Field earned 23 assists and Kelsey Profio earned 8 assists. On the defensive end Lauren Teed recorded 21 digs and Abigail Malsch had 17. With a 1-1 day the Griffins overall record stands at 15-11 overall. Seton Hill will be on the road again for their next contest as they travel to Fairmont State University on October 31st, for a game at 7:00PM.
