Box Score Seton Hill made the trip up Interstate 79 to Erie to battle the Lakers of Mercyhurst on Monday afternoon and came back with an 8-1 loss. The Griffins fall to 3-12-2 overall. Seton Hill was outshot 25-4 in the contest.
Mercyhurst scored three goals in the first half, the first one just 2:40 into the contest.
Joe Tchimou got the Griffins on the board 10 minutes after the break but it was all Lakers after that point as they scored the final 5 goals of the contest.
Jordan Sodhi surrendered all 8 goals while making 5 saves. Seton Hill closes out their regular season on Thursday when they travel to Lake Erie. The Griffins still have the possibility of making the WVIAC Tournament as the number six seed if WV Wesleyan defeats Alderson Broaddus on Wednesday evening.
