Box Score The men's soccer team ended a five game losing streak with a 4-3 overtime victory at Ohio Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
Andrew Starcevic scored the game winner at the 1:58 mark of the first overtime. With the win, Seton Hill improves to 2-9 overall and 2-2 in WVIAC play.
Trevor Martz scored the lone goal of the first half in the 35th minute and Seton Hill entered the halftime break with a 1-0 lead. The second half had more scoring as five goals were scored. Ohio Valley's Samuel Asimeng scored a hat trick over a 17 minute span to put the Fighting Scots ahead 3-1 with 22:51 to play in the contest. SHU's
Joe Tchimou answered one of those goals right back with a goal 27 seconds after the last Scots goal to cut the lead to 3-2. Nine minutes later
Paul Cornelius tied the score at three. The score remained tied at three and the game went to overtime.
Andrew Starcevic scored just 1:58 into the first overtime to give the Griffins the victory.
Seton Hill will battle Shepherd on Saturday at 2 PM.
