Box Score After dropping a rough first set, the Griffins responded by winning the next three sets to take a 3-1 victory over West Liberty on Tuesday evening. With the victory, SHU jumps back over 500 at 11-10 overall and is now 5-2 in WVIAC play. Seton Hill is now the winner of four straight matches. The Griffins were sluggish in dropping the first set by a 25-20 score. They responded with a 25-21 win in set two.
Alexis Cerminara keyed a third set victory with a string of 5 straight service points leading the Griffins to a 25-22 win. It was all Seton Hill in the fourth set as
Lauren Teed served the Griffins to a quick 7-0 lead. SHU continued to pour it on and led 17-4 at one point in the set. SHU was able to close out the set and match with a 25-13 win.
Corrine Gahagen was spectacular at the net for the Griffins, finishing with 16 kills and hitting .455. Gahagen also added 6 digs and 3 blocks.
Abigail Malsch finished with 9 kills and 9 digs.
Shelby Kyllo had 8 kills and 7 blocks.
Courtney Field led the squad with 22 assists and
Lauren Teed had 12 digs.
SHU will return to action on Friday night when they host Charleston. It will also be their dig pink match.
