Second Half Offensive Explosion Earns 4-0 Victory

Box Score On Wednesday afternoon the Griffins hosted the Senators of Davis & Elkins College in a WVIAC conference match up. The Griffins offense exploded in the second half scoring 4 goals, which led to the 4-0 victory over the Senators.
 
In the first half each team had spurts where they maintained possession. However neither team was able to put one past the keeper entering halftime tied 0-0.
 
In second half action Seton Hill came out ready to play. The Griffins passing was on point leading to many scoring opportunities. Their hard work paid off at the 61:03 mark with a Madison Gourley goal to put Seton Hill on the board and take the 1-0 lead. The Griffins continued to pressure the Senators defense and at the 72:40 mark Seton Hill scored again with a goal from Jessica Walton to increase their advantage 2-0. Four minutes later the Griffins struck again this time off a pass from Gourley to Breanna Novosel making it a 3-0 contest. The Griffins were not done yet as they managed to score one last goal at the 86:28 mark off another pass from Gourley to Mackiesh Taylor to finish off the Senators 4-0.
 
Bethany Winter recorded 4 saves in net. With the victory Seton Hill now improves to 9-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 in WVIAC conference play. The Griffins will travel to Wheeling Jesuit for their next game on October 20th, at 12:00PM.
