Box Score The Griffins matched up against the Senators of Davis & Elkins College on Tuesday afternoon in a WVIAC conference contest. Seton Hill could not finish their scoring opportunities and ended the game in a 1-1 tie.
In the first half Seton Hill maintained possession of the ball on the Senators half of the field. The Griffins struck first with a
Macdonald Taylor Jr. goal at the 23:46 mark to give Seton Hill the 1-0 advantage. The Griffins continued their pressure throughout the half outshooting their opponent 4-7. However, neither team managed to score sending Seton Hill into halftime up 1-0.
During second half play the Senators intensity increased due to time winding down and the urgency to score a goal. At the 66:47 the Senators scored off a James Pucci goal off of an Oliver Bienias pass to tie the game up 1-1. At the sound of the regulation whistle the game was still tied 1-1 and headed into overtime.
In overtime both teams were thirsty to score. Each team had multiple opportunities to end the game but was unsuccessful sending the contest into double overtime. In the second overtime again no one managed to put one past the keeper bringing the game to end in a 1-1 tie.
Jordan Sodhi recorded 4 saves in the net for the Griffins. With the tie Seton Hill now stands at 3-10-2 overall and 3-3-2 in WVIAC conference play. The Griffins will travel to Wheeling Jesuit for the next game on October 20
th, at 2:30 PM.
