Zach Talkovic, a 2008 Seton Hill Graduate and member of the Seton Hill Football Team from 2005-2007 signed with the Arizona Adrenaline of the American Indoor Football League (AIFL). Zach is the first player in Seton Hill Football history to sign a professional football contract.
Zach started at middle and outside linebacker for the Griffins from their inaugural 2005 season until 2007. While Zach was a Griffin, he was a three year starter, team captain, unity counsel member, hammer award winner (big hit), and a team leader. During his playing career he started 30 of 30 games, amassed 249 tackles, averaged 8.3 tackles per game,16.5 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, 7 pass breakups, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 recovered fumbles. Zach is also apart of 5 Griffin Football Records which includes total tackles in a season, 93 (2007), total tackles in a game 17 (2007), assisted tackes in a season 44 (2005), 57 (2007), and Zach is the only player in Griffin Football history to return a interception for a touchdown (2005).
In Arizona, Zach is expected to compete for the starting jack linebacker position, while also playing defensive end and fullback in situational packeges. He will also long snap. Zach reports to camp February 18th, 2009.
The Arizona Adrenaline return to action March 8, 2009 against the New Mexico Wildcats. The 2008 the Adrenaline ended their season at11-4, were co-West Division Champs, and made it to the league playoffs. To visit the team website go to www.adrenalinefootball.com
