Urquhart helped the Griffins to an unbeaten start following a 0-0 tie against Wheeling Jesuit and a 3-2 road win at Roberts Wesleyan. Tom scored twice in the win at Roberts Wesleyan. He scored twice in an eight minute span, the last goal being the game winner.
