Shaffer threw the first no hitter in school history as the Griffins opened their spring trip against Northwood.  He worked all 7 innings and struck out 12.  He needed just 92 pitches for the no no.  He also earned a no decision in the Griffins win over Ohio Dominican.  He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits while striking out 11.
