Marcus Smith

Marcus Smith is entering his first season as member of Seton Hill University’s coaching staff. Smith brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and strong recruiting ties from that state of Ohio, specifically Cincinnati. Smith spent last season at Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky, as an Assistant Coach. The team finished with a 23-5 season record, 14-2 in the PAC, and advanced to the PAC Tournament championship. Smith posses strong Ohio Recruiting ties as he served as an Assistant Coach for All-Ohio Red’s 16U and 15U teams for the 2013 summer. Prior to working with All-Ohio, Smith served for three years as Director of Recruiting for Shining Stars, a Cincinnati based AAU organization.

In the Fall of 2012 Smith served as a Support Staff Member for the Men’s USA Pan American team. In July of 2013 Smith served as a Support Staff Member for the Men’s USA Olympic team.

Smith is a native of the Cincinnati, OH and attended Roger Bacon High School, where he was a member of the 2002 Division 2 State Championship, that beat a Lebron James led St. Vincent St. Mary. Smith played collegiately at the College of Mount St Joseph in Cincinnati and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Smith also holds his Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati.
