Jonathan Burrell will begin his second season on the hill as a member of the coaching staff in 2025. He will coach the defensive backs and be the special teams coordinator.
In his first season on the hill, Burrell coached two All PSAC West selections.
Burrell spent the past two seasons at Milliken University where he was the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator. He coached two All Conference performers during his two seasons at Milliken.
A product of Louisville, Ky., Burrell began coaching at the high school level in his hometown before moving to Southern Oregon University in 2019 where he coached defensive backs. In the 2021 season, Burrell helped lead the defense at SOU to one of the program's best statistical years defensively. During the 2021 season, he also served as the special teams coordinator.
Burrell earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Mount St. Joseph University in 2009, starting all four years for the Lions' football team.
