Jason Greene is in his twentieth season as Sport Information Director at Seton Hill. He was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communication in 2009.
At Seton Hill, Greene is the primary media contact for all 20 Seton Hill athletic teams and oversees the athletics website and all of the department’s social media platforms. He is also responsible for overseeing all publications produced by the department.
Greene is currently the baseball liaison for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and is a voting member for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II Top 25.
While at Seton Hill, Greene has helped with the move from the NAIA to the NCAA and the move from the WVIAC to the PSAC.
In his twenty years, Greene has released helped with the release of six new athletics websites, including one during the 2020-21 school year, and the addition of the video broadcast for all Seton Hill home athletic events through the Westmoreland Sports Network and the PSAC Network.
While on the hill, Greene has seen Griffins teams win many conference championships and has accompanied the teams to many NCAA postseason tournaments.
Greene has hosted multiple conference tournaments including the NAIA Regional and Super Regional for baseball, ECAC and G-MAC Men’s lacrosse Tournament and PSAC Volleyball Championships in addition to many conference playoff matchups. Greene along with the Seton Hill staff have also hosted many high school postseason events, including the 2018 WPIAL Softball finals.
He has also helped to score games at the WVIAC and PSAC Baseball Championships and was the official scorer at the 2006 NCAA Division II Softball Championships hosted by the WVIAC in Salem, VA. Greene was also a media assistant for the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 and 2010.
He began his Sports Information career as a work study at California (PA) under Dave Smith where he was responsible for stating many of the Vulcans contests. He also spent a year as a GA in Sports Information when the Vulcans won the 2004 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.
As an athlete at California (PA), Greene was a second team All PSAC West selection as a senior when he hit .405 for the Vulcan baseball team.
Greene graduated from California (PA) with a Secondary Education Mathematics Degree. He also earned his Masters Degree from California (PA) in Athletic Administration.
