Blaise Holzer returns to the Seton Hill coaching staff for his third season in 2025. The 2025 season will be Holzer's first season as Associate Head Coach. He will be the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach as well.
In his first season on the hill, the Griffins finished with their most wins in 15 seasons and had a winning record in PSAC West play for the first time in school history. Two members of the offense were named All PSAC West performers. SHU was ninth in the PSAC in scoring, averaging over 22 points per game.
Last season, the Griffin offense had four All PSAC West performers and one All Region selection. The Griffins were seventh in rushing in the PSAC and ninth in total offense. Seton Hill had the leading rusher in the PSAC as well as the fourth leading receiver.
Prior to Seton Hill, Holzer spent two seasons as the Passing Game Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Tiffin. In his first season at Tiffin, the Dragons boasted the top scoring offense in the conference with 32.5 ppg while also finishing second in yards per game with 426.1. They also led the GMAC in passing with 268.6 yards per game. Last season, Tiffin also led the G-MAC with 35.6 points and 400.9 yards per game.
Before Tiffin, Holzer spent three seasons at Shorter University in Rome, GA where he finished as the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. As offensive coordinator in his final season, the Hawks saw improvement in many offensive categories. The team averaged over ten points more per game than the previous season. The team was great in the red zone, scoring on over 91% of their red zone opportunities.
Holzer spent three seasons at Missouri Valley College. In his three seasons, six wide receivers earned ten All Conference Awards. During the three seasons, wide receivers accounted for 61 touchdowns and 7,047 receiving yards. In 2017 he also served as Special Teams Coordinator where the Vikings finished second in the nation in punt average. The special teams also had three blocks and one return touchdown.
Holzer also coached at his alma mater Ohio Dominican. He coached the wide receivers in 2014 where they had 2,944 yards and 32 touchdowns. Blaise also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Ohio Dominican. He also coached for two seasons at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Ohio.
He earned a Bachelors in Sports Management from Ohio Dominican before earning his MBA from Ohio Dominican in 2010. Holzer was a member of the first football team at Ohio Dominican. As a wide receiver, Holzer helped the Panthers to their first conference championship and NAIA Football Championship series in 2007.
Holzer and his wife Shana have three sons, Fitz, Mac and Duke.
