Seton Hill University recently had 143 student-athletes earn Division 2 Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for the 2018-19 academic year. Seton Hill had the second most student-athletes honored in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and the sixth most in the country honored behind the University of Findlay with 211, Indianapolis with 163, Tiffin and Queens (NC) with 149 and Gannon with 144.
The Academic Achievement Award program recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. In order to receive the Academic Achievement Award, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years of college and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
In total, 11,660 student-athletes from 185 institutions were recognized for the 2018-19 Academic Achievement Awards. This year's conference leader was the PSAC with 975 followed by the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), with 974 student-athlete honorees. The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) was third with 791.

Seton Hill was one of 10 PSAC schools to have student-athletes recognized. Bloomsburg, California (Pa.), Gannon, Kutztown, Mansfield, Mercyhurst, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock and West Chester joined the Grifffins on the list.
