JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Seton Hill University men's basketball team ended their 2015-16 season with an 81-72 loss at the hands of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown on Saturday in the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Griffins end the season with a record of 13-14 overall and were 11-11 in PSAC play. With the win, UPJ moves to 18-10 overall and will play Indiana (Pa.) on Tuesday night in the second round of the PSAC Tournament.
Senior standout
Kameron Taylor led five SHU players in double-figures with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting and a game-high 13 rebounds. Freshman
Brandon Alston also chipped in 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range.
Spencer Casson had 13 points on 6-of-9 from the floor,
Noah Davis came away with 11 points, and
Trevor Blondin scored 10 points. Taylor and Casson added four and three blocks for Seton Hill.
Isaac Vescovi had a game-high 21 points for UPJ. A.J. Leahey had 16 points while grabbing nine (9) boards. Dale Clancy and Nate Snodgrass came away with 15 points apiece in the win.
