The awards continue to come in for the Seton Hill Men's Soccer program as four members of the team have been named to the D2CCA Atlantic Region Men's Soccer teams. Senior midfielder
Rory McKinnon was a first team selection while senior forward
Curtis Gallagher, senior midfielder
Joe Smith and senior defender
Harrison Howes were all named to the second team. All four were All PSAC selections this season as well. It is the second straight season that Smith has earned D2CCCA All Region honors. As a first team selection, McKinnon will now be added to the national ballot.
The four led the Griffins to a fourth place finish in the PSAC standings this season and a quarterfinal playoff win over California. The team then suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss to #1 seed Mercyhurst in the PSAC Semifinal in Erie.
Howes. playing center back, led a Griffin defense that surrendered 1.60 goals per game and had 3 shutouts. He also scored a goal this season. Smith finished the season with 4 goals and a team leading 6 assists from the midfield position. Joe was tied for fourth for most assists in the PSAC. McKinnon was second on the team with 10 goals, 5 assists and 25 points. He also scored a team leading 5 game winning goals. Rory had the second most game winners in the league and the sixth most goals and points. Gallagher led the Griffins with 12 goals and 29 points. He also added 5 assists and 3 game winning goals. Curtis was fifth in the PSAC in goals and points.
Leonardo Paiva of Notre Dame (Ohio) was named the regional player of the year.
