Box Score Seton Hill took on #1 seed in the east West Chester in the winners bracket of the PSAC Softball Championships on Thursday afternoon at Veterans Park in Quakertown, PA. SHU took a 1-0 lead but saw the Golden Rams score 9 straight runs for a 9-1 win in 6 innings. SHU falls to to 31-12-1.
Christine Henderson singled with two outs in the top of the first inning but a groundout ended the threat.
Amanda Huff started the game off strong, striking out the side in the bottom of the first inning.

Caitlin Tobin drew a walk to put runners on first and second with two outs. Another groundout ended the Seton Hill second inning.
Victoria Stock homered with one out in the top of the third to give SHU a 1-0 lead. West Chester finally broke thru in the bottom of the third inning. After two outs, the Rams got a single and walk and then hit a three run homer to give WCU a 3-1 lead. The Rams hit a solo homer with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Rams added two more runs in the third to increase their lead to 6-1 after four innings.
Delaney Cortazzo and
Carlee Wickstrom both singled with one out. A strikeout and fly out stranded the runners. West Chester added one more run in the bottom of the fifth to push their lead to 7-1. Seton Hill got two runners on in the sixth with one out as
Kaitlyn Kutchman walked and
Paige Hertzog singled but two strikouts ended the inning. The Rams ended the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Amanda Huff suffered the loss. She went 3 1/3 innings giving up 4 runs on 4 hits. She struck out 5 and walked one. Six Griffins in the lineup each had one hit apiece.
Seton Hill will play the winner of the Bloomsburg / East Stroudsburg contest at 1:30 PM on Friday in an elimination game.
