Box Score Seton Hill hosted West Chester in their first ever PSAC Tournament contest on Tuesday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field. The Griffins entered the PSAC Quarterfinal as the four seed while the Rams entered as the fifth seed. Seton Hill jumped out to an 8-3 lead midway thru the second half but West Chester scored the final six goals of the contest to come away with a 9-8 victory to end the Griffins season. Seton Hill ends the season with a 13-5 record.
West Chester scored the first goal of the contest just 43 seconds in to take a quick 1-0 lead. Less than two minutes later,
Elizabeth Otwell scored from
Rachel Hilbert to tie the score at one. Seton Hill then took a 2-1 lead with 18:36 to play in the half on a goal from
Emily Fagan that was assisted by
Morgan Cain. The Rams tied the score at two with a goal with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first half.
Emma Simmers scored unassisted at the 9:30 mark of the half to give SHU the 3-2 advantage. Five minutes later West Chester tied the score at three. Cain closed the first half scoring out with a free position goal at the 2:24 mark that gave SHU the 4-3 halftime advantage.
The start of the second half was all Seton Hill as they scored the first four goals of the half to take an 8-3 lead. Otwell got the second half going with an unassisted goal at the 24:35 mark. Hilbert then scored on a free position shot at the 23:08 mark of the second half. Otwell then scored off a West Chester turnover to give SHU a 7-3 lead with 18:59 left to play. Hilbert then scored off a feed from Cain and SHU led 8-3 with 17:42 to play in the half, forving the second Ram timeout of the half. West Chester came out of the timeout and scored three goals within 2:18 of each other to cut the lead to 8-6 with 14:16 to play. WCU then scored twice within 1:17 to tie the score at 8 with 6:16 to play. West Chester then controlled play and scored the game winning goal with 1:34 left to play. The Griffins were able to win the draw control but the WCU keeper made a big save in the last minute to preserve the win.

Rachel Hilbert finished with 2 goals and 1 assists.
Morgan Cain and
Emma Simmers each added 1 goal and 1 assist.
Melanie Morget recorded 7 saves in net.
