Six Griffins Earn NFCA All American Scholar Athlete Award

Six members of the 2013 Seton Hill University Softball Team have earned All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The NFCA annually awards this honor to collegiate softball players who have earned a GPA of 3.5 or better for that academic year.  The Griffins who have earned this honor are: Felicia Domasky, Christine Henderson, Kaitlyn Kutchman, Hayley Morgan, Beth Anne Swartzwelder and Stefanie Wiegand.  Henderson, Swartzwelder and Wiegand are all repeat winners from the previous season.

Congratulations to these fine student athletes for truly demonstrating their commitment to academics, as well as their tremendous efforts on the softball field.

Over 4,000 softball student-athletes from across seven different divisions have been tabbed as 2012-13 NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes.  The membership category with the most participating institutions this year proved to be Division I with 160. Division III was second by boasting 158 teams and Division II ranked third with 102.
